Leadership Ministries
Resident priests in a parish provide spiritual and sancrmental leadrshipand the pastor is responsible to the bishop for the spiritual and financial well being of a parish. This said, leadership cannot ever be the exclusive responsibility of the clergy. Priests are assigned for a set period of time and then transferred. The real continuity over the years within a parish comes from the men and women of the parish who give of their time, financial resources and expertise to advise the pastor and to facilitate parish life..
Some leadership positions are filled by election, some by appointment.Some parishioners decide to get involved because they like what they see happening, others step forward to help facilitate changes. Whatever the reason, it is the mark of a responsible parish when parishioners eagerly step into ministries of leadership.
